In the current climate, many of us have no option but to work from home. While it can be tempting to lounge around in your PJ’s all day, we are creatures of habit and ‘getting ready’ for work is an important part of our daily routine!
Dr Carolyn Mair, behavioural psychologist and author of The Psychology of Fashion, says, it’s still important that we separate our work wardrobe from our everyday wardrobe. "Our clothes should be comfortable and, if we want to maintain some degree of normalcy, they should be the sort of clothes we wore to work when we worked face-to-face."
A good outfit can help to boost your mood, increase your confidence and it signals to our mind that we’re going to work and just because you’re working from home, it doesn’t mean you have to forgo all style!
We’ve put together a list of ‘work form essentials’ that will ensure you’re both comfortable and stylish:
Cosy Knitwear: As we’re moving into the cooler months the weather is unpredictable. A simple cardigan can keep you warm while also keeping your look refined.
Blouse: Staple blouses are an easy item to dress up or down depending on your occasion.
Little Black Dress: Every woman’s wardrobe needs a little black dress (LBD)! A versatile staple, LBD’s channel elegance and class with ease! They’re also a flattering option for all body shapes.
Depending on the style of dress, you may also be able to incorporate layers like knitwear, blazers, or even layer a shirt underneath.
