Kristyana is a busy working mum, so relatable. We love celebrating women in all walks of life. We also love the authenticity that these conversations bring to the table. Fashion is such a large part of women's lives even if they don't recognise it on a daily basis. We will be introducing you to women who inspire us, relate to us and shop with us over the coming months. If you would like to be featured please email email@example.com.
But now, lets meet Kristyana...
Kristyana, what do you do for work?
I work in the corporate office for a mining company.
What kind of fashion do you like?
Chic, yet comfortable.
How do you like to feel in the workplace?
I like to feel businesslike but feminine at the same time.
How do you like to be perceived in your workplace?
Above all, professional. I think what you wear and how you carry yourself at work speaks volumes.
What do you look for in corporate work wear?
Firstly, it has to be easy care garments. As a busy working mum, the first thing I look at is “Will this need ironing/dry cleaning/delicate wash”.
Classic, understated pieces means they won’t date. You can style them up with accessories.
How important is it to look professional? More so than comfort?
I think they are both as important as each other.
You can be comfortable and look great at the same time.
Favourite fashion trend from the past?
Military style jackets 😍
When you think powerful, confident and comfortable what piece of clothing comes to mind?
A beautiful pant suit.
You travel on public transport to work, what do you look for in corporate wear? Comfortability? Layering with jackets when it's cold or raining?
Absolutely!! After rushing to drop kids off to school and then rushing to the train and doing it all again in reverse in the afternoon, it has to be comfortable. But like I said, I also like to look professional. I generally wear a nice pair of flats to rush around in and then change into heels once I’m in the office. No tight pencil skirts.
And cold or rainy mornings call for a beautiful jacket and scarf.
What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.
